Default 2014 F150 Re-torque 2.5" Rough Country Level?

Just had the 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit installed on my 2014. Went to pick it up and it was making all kinds of fuss while rolling...engage 4x4 and the noise goes away. It's now at the ford dealership because one of my locking hubs is not disengaging. As you would suspect the installer is saying it is just a coincidence, however I'm almost 100% sure that isn't the case. I'm assuming they hammered the axle in and damaged the actuators in some way. Checked the vacuum lines over pretty well and couldn't find any nicks.

While looking over the RC install directions though, I noticed the post installation instructions state that the fasteners are to be re-torqued at 500 miles and then checked for tightness every 1000 miles? Is this normal for any leveling kit? And does anyone do this?

It is always recommended to re-torque fasteners suspension related after driving for couple hundred miles. Same with wheel torque. A lot of it has to do with lawsuit related things. They have to put that in there to cover there own ***. Regardless though, it is always a good idea since something may have loosened up due to all the vibration the suspension goes through. Also, I don't believe it was a coincidence either. More than likely they damaged it by prying on the lower control arm to force the strut assembly back in.

Definitely retorque after the recommended distance. I didn't do this and I got lucky. A couple months after installing my level, I was under the front end and noticed that my lower strut bolt had came loose and was only hanging on by a couple threads. Could have been worse.

Had mine installed this past July, same leveling kit. It was re-torqued at 500 miles, but I had never heard about checking tightness every 1000 miles. I Haven't noticed any issues on my end.

They probably did not unplug the EPAS, before going to work. Sadly that is common on these trucks.

Yea. When I had a local mom and pop shop install my bilsteins, I told the to unplug the battery because of the epas and they looked at me like I was stupid.
