Default 2014 5.0 upgrades

I'm looking into options for upgrades to a daily driver. I want to have a low maintenance upgrade that is safe to use on my truck while still using it as a truck. Looking for more power. I have an sct tuner with 5* tuning, cai, and flowmaster catback now. It is still a turd on low end. I was thinking maybe a turbo? Read a lot about different things but would like some opinions from you guys here about what would be some good options for power gains and usability. I'm not looking for a 10 sec truck, just want a fast nice daily driver that I don't have to worry about blowing my stock engine. Thanks in advance to any and all that share their opinions.

Keep your truck as is and go buy a new mustang 5.0

I like my truck. Just needs some much needed improved performance. I know it can have quite a bit more power with the 5.0. So I'm trying to get what I can from it. Safely.

Yes a mustang would be nice, but if I had different vehicles I'd have my truck and a maverick. It's not the best, but it's my most desired. Anywhoo, just the truck for now.

What specific gears would you recommend?

Don't tell me it's a dog! I was considering a used 5.0 over the Ecoboost for reliability reasons. I want the Ecobooat for the same reason you want to turbo your 5.0. Power!

With the sct x4 tunes by 5*, it is a completely different vehicle. Although It is still sluggish on low end. Power kicks in around 2500 rpm.

I returned to stock and it's just terrible. Sooo gutless. The thing about the 5.0 over the Eco is that you do have more options for increased performance. But straight off the floor the Eco is better than 5.0. For power and towing. As strange as that sounds. Imo.

And just so you know, with the tune on the 5.0 I can smoke the stock Eco. And I still get 15/18 mpg. Which is close to what the Eco gets, they may get an extra mpg. ( at least the one I'm comparing to that belongs to my buddy. )

A tune is the ONLY reason I almost sort of kinda but not really actually not looking forward to it all, my warranty period expiring.

Lmao. Huh?

Everyone praises 5 star tunes. Say they are completely safe. Tried and true. And if you buy from 3stage motor sports you can buy a powertrain warranty. Not sure if others offer the warranty or not. Best 400$ I've spent so far.

If you got the $. Throw a supercharger on it. Since you want low end tq. Go with a root style blower.
