2014 3.5 F150 difference in motor

2014 3.5 F150 difference in motor
Does anyone know the difference between the 3.5 l ecoboosts in the 2014 F150s manufacturers production date is from 12/16/2013 and thru 12/15/2013.
My manufacturer production date is 12/11/2014. Verified by dealer. Alot of people would say that it's a 2015 it's not according to VIN and the body style. So mine would be the later production date.
Motor is blown and auto wrecker says only difference is the intake manifold. They have the earlier production date engine available and he says I can simply change the manifold.
I looked up a manifold for it and shows ford part number DL3Z-9424-D for 2013 and 2014 for 2015 it shows DL3Z-9424-C.
Does anyone know the difference? And if it's true the only difference between the engines is the intake manifold. ?
Would anything else be different.?
