Yes, but it IS body roll that the stabilizer bar is trying to counteract. The best term for stabilizer bar is anti-roll bar. It is sometimes erroneously called an anti-sway bar; but sway is a side-to-side movement. The purpose of the bar is to minimize the body roll over the vehicle's longitudinal axis.

Congrats on your well deserved retirement. Thanks for helping to build an awesome truck.

On the options list they show "front stabilizer bar". I have searched the internet, contacted the dealer and looked on Fords website but to no avail. Can anyone tell me where I can go to find info like this? Or tell me what the function is of a stabilizer bar?

The sway bar/stabilizer bar is NOT attached to the body, it IS attached to the frame and the suspension, the BODY is attached to the frame therefor making it a secondary result.

The PRIMARY result is EXACTLY what I described, it stiffens the suspension. Everything else is lagniappe.
