Default 2013 rear sliding window problem...

The rear sliding window on my 2013 Limited isn't working... press the button on the overhead controls and nothing.

Any ideas here?

I would start simple. Check fuse, then connectors and switch. After that I would disconnect the mechanism that slides the would with ohms to see if it is open or closed. Open I would think would be bad as it is an electrical motor.

Okay will do, truck is new to me... so I may just take it back to the dealer since I've got a 30 day on the truck.

Just wanted to see if first of all I wasn't missing some odd menu or window lock that might override the button... will check fuses.

No there isn't any override or lock I know of. You got a 30 day warranty I would have them fix it. Should be as simple as pushing the button to make it work so something else is going on.

Yeah, looks like the fuse is shared with the rear windows and the rear windows work... so its something else. Will call the dealership... Thanks again!

I had to replace my overhead switch when I bought my truck. The window would open sometimes and close only sometimes. The 30 day warranty for me had a $100 deductible and the switch was $33 on amazon

Amazon Amazon

Took about 5 minutes to fix and has worked flawlessly since.

I would try what JD has said. Pull your switch, stick a meter to it to see if it is closing the circuit when you push it. If it doesn't there is your issue.

Take it in for the 30 day, let them fret over it!

The dealership is 45 minutes away so I'm just going to order and hope that's it. Looks really easy and my wife noticed a bug in one of the lenses... so perfect opportunity to remove that as well. I think my 30 day deal is similar and it'll cost me less time, energy, etc. if I just replace it myself.

Speaking of that, might replace the bulb while I'm in there with an LED bulb.

If you want good bulbs, I bought mine from here.

I love the puddle lights and the interior lights are nice too. Fairly cheap for everything you are getting.
