Default 2013 Order Cutoff Dates & 2014 Start-up Dates

Not that, too many folks [here] may be eager to get in line to get a new '14; considering what's on tap, in the fall of 2014--with the full model make-over for the '15. However, this info may be of interest to some:

Ford F-150 2014 Production Schedule

MY-2013: Cut Off 08/30/2013
MY-2014: Order Banks Open 08/19/2014 (five months from today)
MY-2014: First Scheduled Production 10/28/2013

Good to know. I'm going to try my best to wait until the '15s come out. But maybe i'll get a '14 and then get a '16. Decisions decisions

I want to get a '14 in the summer of 2014 hoping there will be big incentives. I'm not eager to get the totally redesigned truck in the first year of production. Someone had mentioned that there will be some special editions for 2014.

Why are the production dates so late on the F-150? '14 Mustangs are already on the lots!

Thank you, Trying to decide on placing an order for 2013 or waiting for 2014 production.

Any other details out yet about potential changes in the 2014 vs 2013?

I understand, what you and others offer.

I want a newer truck; but have waited this long, so I want the newest version.

But then, as another member said, the first new model year always has some bugs to work out--and, they always 'get' you, with coming out with some real great and innovative features in the 2nd MY, which just makes you go crazy.

Even with the '14, they will most likely have some great feature, which makes those who bought a '13 go crazy?

So, maybe a '14, with a 24 month lease; and a '16, with a straight buy--are good numbers?

Almost exactly what I was thinking. Kind of like what the '13 gmc and chevy's are doing right now. will be able to score one of those for cheap in a month or two when their '14s come out. (Not that I want one, just using it as an example)

Update: The Wheels Industry Site is now also reporting the Production Schedule as of yesterday; although, they show KC as starting on 11/18/13, about three weeks later than DB. Order Banks are still showing opening on 08/19/13, at both plants, for ordering a '14; maybe by June we will see what the specs/changes are for the 14's:
