Mine was loose too, but I thought that was from the previous grille insert I had. I put two small rubber bumpers under the black trim piece on both sides, 4 total, to raise the height and shorten the distance for the support rods. This made a big difference and tightened it up.

Mime is tight also, it looks good, but I think a coat of clear is in it's future, it is a super close match to the grill but I think to my eye it is slightly off and that is due to the protective coat on the stock grille

If anyone is wondering what bumpers he is referring to, it's the little plastic bumpers that are usually found on cupboards to prevent them from slamming shut.

This is really what this forum is all about to me. Fellow owners coming together with ideas and solutions to make their trucks the best for their individual tastes and likes. The ones I bought are pictured. They had a flat surface that might be hard to see from the picture taken from this iPhone.
