So....if they could do it.....it would be a tire diameter already in the Ford system. The 34.4" diameter would be very close.....in fact, less than 1% off.

But....I spoke to Hypertech today about their Speedometer Calibrator (P/N #742501)...and decided to order one.

The Hypertech product will let you get it exact...by using a "rolling radius calculation". Check out the Hypertech website for the installation instructions and it explains how to do the calculation.

I was curious, didn't want to go the tuner route quite yet to get there. Neat item.

Default Bigmyke23: Black Mirror Cover and Reflector Part #s

Here are the Ford part numbers for the black mirror covers and reflector replacements:

Textured Black Reflector Replacements (Left and Right):
9LEZ-17E749-AA ($12.20)
9LEZ-17E748-AA ($12.20)

Textured Black Mirror Cover Replacements:
9LEZ-17D743-AA ($19.01)
9LEZ-17D742-AA ($25.27)

The Ford dealer parts guy couldn't explain why one mirror cover was more than the other. He thought it might have to do with how many they make or how fast they sell.....Go figure....

Note: These parts fit on my 2013 power fold non-Tow Mirrors. Check to see what you have before ordering.....

Also: The mirror covers are a challenge to remove. There is another thread somewhere showing how to do it....but there is still a chance you'll break the mirror (which must come out to get to the mirror cover tabs).

Good luck.

How do you like those Revo's? Road noise? Ride Comfort? Have my eye on the same size and tire for my FX4.

Was just looking at specs, the 275/65/20 is narrower in tread width than the 275/55/20 you took off. Was that planned or doesn't really matter? I see also it is an LT tire. I have these in the stock size myself.

I bought a set of MGP red caliper covers (with white Ford oval) a few months back. Decided not to put em on. They're just sitting in my shop.. Paid $230. I would take $150 shipped.. Good lookin truck by the way!..

Thanks so much for all the info! I'm not so sure how confident I am in my ability to replace it if I have to break the mirror. If I decide to give it a shot, however, I will be sure to let you know how it turns out. Who knows? I might just go the easy way and plastidip everything. Lol. Thanks again though!

Bigmyke23,

I have to admit...I didn't do the mirror cover swap myself.....the dealer did it for $58....

Felt like the right answer when the mirror could break during removal and....it's a lot more expensive to replace.....

Default Bridgestone Revo 2s

I've had three sets of the Revos on previous trucks (Tacomas)...and have been very happy with them from a performance (on-road and off-road), road noise (just a bit more than stock HL Alenzas that came on the truck)...and longevity.

The Revo in LT275/65-20 shows an 8.5" tread width in the Bridgestone specs.

The HL Alenza in 275/55-20 shows a 9.6" tread width in the Bridgestone specs.

Just looking at the two tires side-by-side, the HL Alenza has a more "square" shoulder....and the Revo is more rounded....likely resulting in the narrower tread width.

I chose the Revos because of my previous experience with the tire as stated above...and....I wanted taller tires (34.1" vs. 32") to go with my level......oh....and they look cool....

Looks awesome! I think the red calipers would be a nice touch. Ever consider window tint? Think it would make a huge difference on that truck.... Regardless it looks amazing either way, nice work
