Default 2013 FX4: Work in Progress

Here's a few shots of my 2013 FX4 EcoBoost.

With just under 1000 miles on the odometer we've done the following so far:

Removed Appearance Package stripes, hood decal and FX4 rear decal
Installed Bilstein 5100s (second clip from top, slight rake)
Installed Bridgestone Revo 2s in 275/65-20 (traded in 275/55-20 HL Alenzas at America's Tire with 800 miles on them)
Installed Ford Accessories Mud Flaps, Scuff Protectors, under-rear-seat Storage Bin
Replaced white mirror caps and orange reflector with textured black Ford parts
Powder coated stock chrome exhaust finisher in black "fine texture"

Next on the list:

Install CCR Sport "Bed Buddy" motorcycle tiedown bar
Install FastLaneTurbo intercooler grille
Install N-Fab "Adjust Step" side rails (30 days until available)
Install Volant Cold Air Intake (60 days or so until available for 2013 model)
Calibrate speedometer to work with 34.1" tires (stock diameter: 32")

Having fun...more to come!

Oh....and we like driving it, too......

I approve!

Like those tires A LOT. Not too beefy but definitely a more-aggressive look than the stock tires

Looking good! But why buy the appearance package FX4 when you basically removed all the appearance package stuff?

Exactly right.....

I wanted the Appearance Package interior and black wheels.....

The stripes and stickers were the cheapest part of the deal....and the easiest to remove....

Any issues installing the Ford Accessories Mud Flaps? I need some on my '12 but read alot of people having installation issues with them.

Mud Flaps went on pretty easily....only challenge was lining up the bolt that goes through rear flap and into the factory fender liners. Holes had to be slightly enlarged and four hands helped.....

My buddy and I made it easier by taking off the wheels one at a time...and enjoying beverages on a warm afternoon....

GOD I love white! Now put that red FX-4 back on, and flip those white letters out! I took off my big *** stickers too, but I liked the red FX-4 and F150. So I may be biased.
