Would someone tell me what size speaker is in the front door? I've looked high and low and haven't had any luck finding the actual size.
Also if there is a better replacement speaker I would like to know that too.
Radio has CD player but no screen.

Thank You! I didn't even think about Crutchfield. Just tired of weeding through web pages and no joy.

Those speakers are exactly what I had in mind... cheap and not broken.

 

5x7s work great to I have the down4sound cfxt57 thy sound good on stock power but adding an amp brings them to life worth every penny

 

Wire adapters make life a lot easier on speaker swaps as well and are cheap.

Also would recommend swapping out the tweeters in the A-pillars if you’re upgrading the sound system though these can be a little harder to swap out to the way Ford mounted the OEMs. Swapping them out really put the vocals on another level when I did the sound system in my truck.

 

I'm getting pretty lazy since I retired but I may try that out when I get caught up on honey-dos.
