2013 Ford f150 Brake Failure

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago and the dealer told me my truck is not part of the recall. There is a defective seal in the master cylinder and it will drain all of your fluid into the brake booster. Zero leaks on your driveway, zero warning aside from a "low brake fluid" warning when it's too late.
You will need a new master cylinder as well as a brake booster.
There is an ongoing investigation to include 2015-2016 models in the recall, and several claims have been made with the NHTSA for late 2012/ early 2013 models like mine. I paid to have the repair done, and have filed a claim with NHTSA. Ford corporate basically told me that they don't care about the issue.
Hopefully this recall opens up to include all vehicles that are actually affected by the faulty part. It is very scary when your brakes suddenly stop working when your family is in the car.

Just quoted this, but reflects the rest of this guys personality. A guy has a problem, comes here, explains it, and some holier than thou douchebag jumps on the guy. Hopefully this guy just fades away like the old soldier he thinks he is. Hope he sleeps better feeling like he's turning society around, and jumping on a guy that already had a problem, no matter the reason.
Oh, guess what Mr. Tacky, I just had both my airbags replaced on my Ranger under recall, and I never got a registered, or certified letter from Ford. Ha, in fact, I never got a letter, and I haven't moved in 10 years, and Ford certainly has my address. Actually, I have two addresses, and Ford sends stuff to each. Perhaps I should likely make up my mind and decide which address to specify things go to, you know, to show responsibility.

My previous truck was a 2013 and it was not included in the recall. You need to take a chill pill.

I just came across this thread, and couldn't believe I was seeing such a stupid response to an earnest question.

With that said, proceed forward - back on topic, please.

To the O.P. -- Look at this, I think it's the recall in question.
