2013 e-locker issue

Finally got the truck into my dealer. Shop foreman, listened to the noise, and said he hasn't heard anything like that before. Doesn't sound good he says. Appointment is next tuesday.
I'm not sure what they are going to do. They have already had the DIFF apart, and replaced the coil for the e-locker. They've even bench tested the e-locker, and it passed. Last time they explained to me in detail of why it's happening (but I didn't get it), and it was insinuated that it was a design flaw, but why doesn't it happen to others?
They mentioned they will look online to Oasys and see if there's anything in there. As well as talk to Ford engineers. I dunno, we'll see what they find this time.

Curious as to whether any are experiencing this issue with the 3.55 axle. I wouldn't think it would matter, but most of the complaints seem to be with the e-lock/3.73.
I'm shopping for a '14, and was inclined to opt for the e-lock (XLT w/3.55) prior to reading about this problem. An issue like this is something I would obviously like to avoid. Good luck & thanks for the insight.

Hey BRAHMS.... so what are you going to do with yours? Do you just not use the elocker? Are you planning on revisiting it with the dealer? Or are you just going to live with the fact that it clunks?

I got a 6 year warranty if it breaks they will be fixing it. I will be selling it before my 6 year warranty is up. It's not that bad for me in 4 wheel drive and barely use it in 2 wheel. Not work my time to bring to dealer or headache to argue with them.

Truck is at the dealer today. Its amazing that we have to fight to get such a drastic issue resolved. Violent Banging from the differential is normal. :|
Fingers crossed. I really want to use my elocker.

Just keep trying. I was drag racing my FX4 and beating the locker on a sticky track and it never made a sound. Although admittedly it could be something stupid with the rear brakes.
