Default 2013 Door Lock Issue

I am having a very random issue. My driver's side front door and passenger side rear door will sometimes not lock or unlock. This is when using the key fob or the lock button. Its a sporatic issue and doesn't happen all the time. (This is not the issue where you pull the door handle 2xs.)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Of course, I'm 4k miles out of the factory warranty, so I'll be trying to repair myself.

Any help would be appreciated.

David

Mine is doing the same thing. Can't figure it out checked all fuses and everything might have take apart the door and see if anything looks off. Mine doesn't unlock nor lock sometimes and no pattern at all. Drives me crazy wish someone knows what it is.

By "Lock Button" do you mean the one on the Key Fob or the one on the Driver and front Passenger Doors?

If it's the one one Fob, try the one on the door and see if you get the same issue. If you do, it's probably your wiring.
Plenty of threads on here about how to fix the door harnesses.

Default 2013 Door Lock Issue

I may have a similar issue on my rear passenger door. Sometimes it doesn't unlock. It actually gets stuck. If you get in and try to pull up the lock thing out doesn't budge.

I believe, in my case, that it is a lubrication issue with the lock. I sprayed some lube into it using the straw. Now it works most of the time but still occasionally gets stuck. Eventually I'm going to pull it out of the door and clean it very well and then grease it.

Anyway, try to manually unlock it when that happens. If it is stuck then you may have the same issue as me.

Default 2013 Door Lock Issue

My battery is fine had it tested. And mine does it both when using the fob or the button. I'll try lubing everything and see if that helps.

It's been awhile since my original post. However, the "sporadic" issue is now permanent. Just looking for any advice before I buy 3 door lock actuators. The only door that will lock/unlock with the key fob or the power lock buttons in the truck is the drivers side rear. The other 3 make no attempt to move, nor do I hear any power. I have replaced the # 20 fuse in the interior fuse box and still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in MS and the two dealers we have in my area have less than stellar service departments, plus I'm out of warranty anyway.

It could be a bad lock actuator.
