Default 2013 AC Seats

There is a post in the 2015 section and they are finding that their ac seats are not operating correctly.

Mine only cool from the bottom seat panel and the top actually pulls air from the back area, not blow cold air..

What does yours do.

I have a Lariat with AC and Heat seats.

My ac in the drivers seat is awful. Kind of a joke. Just makes a bunch of noise. My wife says the passenger one works well but I doubt it.

Do you feel air from the seat area only or also from the back?

Move the drivers seat up and forward.

Get in the back seat, there are two zippers on the seat back, one on each side.

Reach under the seat and pull the tails out.

Un zip the zippers, then pull down on the center section, it has a piece of "J" channel on the bottom.

Lift it up and you should find the TED unit for the seat back.

FYI, it is a smaller unit than the seat bottom and dos not blow as hard.

Actually, on my 13, the zippers go up and the remaining center piece goes up. The back of the seat and the bottom seat are 2 different units and are not connected.

The picture above is the back of the passenger seat. Note the black plastic chamber, when the seat is on, cold air comes up thru the seat and hot air is discharged out of this tube, apparently drawing hot air off of the back.
