Also, this is completely unrelated but have you swapped in 4.10 gears yet? What brand gears did you use/are planning to use? Not that I don't have other more important things to focus on with my truck, but I've been wanting to re-gear for a while. I've been running 35x12.5s for a long time, but my truck has factory 3.55 so I need some extra grunt. But I've heard stories of bad gear whine and such with aftermarket gears.

Wow, I haven't updated my signature in a while... I went with Ford gears. No particular reason other than they were easy for me to get and slightly cheaper than aftermarket. No issues from me. The 5.0 loves the higher RPMs, so daily driving was great. I've since strapped a Whipple to this beast, and I will say, without some very specific tuning, the truck was staight-up undrivable on the street with E85... So much torque, I was doing burnouts at every light if I wasn't careful. After a few hours on the dyno I was able calm things down a bit, so now I have a great weekend toy hauler. Towing is a dream.
Ya that seems like the way to go. I wasn't entirely sure if my truck had the 8.8 or 9.75 rear end (and was admittedly too lazy to look it up lol). I actually found a post of yours from another thread where you and others laid out the axle sizes, and how basically everything except 3.7L trucks had the 9.75". I guess the confusing combinations of engine/packages/etc. that determine rear axle size started with the 2015+ gen.
