Trying to add tailgate camera to an existing 4" screen on my 2013 XLT. Enabled via Forscan. Camera has RCA. Screen doesn't. Can I splice into a wire or do I need a different harness. If so can someone tell me which wire or which harness I need.

Mine never had a rearview cam. I enabled it through forscan and when I put it into reverse it says camera not detected. I bought a camera to hook up to 4" screen

 

If memory serves correct, the 4” screen had a backup cam in it for 2014. I’d be shocked if an earlier model would flat out be made for the camera output.

Otherwise, they were in the mirror.

In 2013, package 301A (XLT Convenience) got you the 4.2" screen, 302A (XLT Plus) got you the rear view camera. So you can have the screen without the camera.

 

What are the specs of the T harness cable. From Canada and don't want to pay for duty and huge shipping prices. Want to see if I can find up here. Thanks in advance
