Default 2013 4.2" Radio removal necessary?

Have 2013 XLT Supercrew with 4.2" screen. Wanting to hook up amp and sub. Do I have to take the radio out of the dash or is there wiring accommodations in the rear to tap into the speaker wires?

Have read all the threads and not sure how to do this. Keeping factory radio as no one has yet come up with a decent bezel to replace factory radio. Metra thing is out.

From looking at some pics it appears there is not enough room in the dash to put in an aftermarket HU. Not enough depth.

Have a JVC KW-V70BT that I could use but does not seem to be enough room or a faceplate yet that would accept the changeover assuming there was enough room.

Probably just going to use LOC's for rca plugs and go with that.

If you are just adding a sub, you can tap into the speaker wires as they run down the sides of the truck.
