Default 2012 XLT and wanting to do some updates

Hey all. I am fairly good at doing electronic mods like adding aux lights and radios and what not but I am thinking I want to take the plunge into larger tires and more of a pre runner look. I would love some guidance (albeit biased I am sure ) of what and how to go about things.

I have already decided that I probably can't do much of this myself however I would love to if its not to crazy. My truck is a 2012 XLT with the Eco, I have the super crew 4x4 with the 5.5 bed and 3.31 gearing.

I understand this look takes a gas MPG hit but thats okay, to a point.

I am not looking for the largest tires I can fit, the largest lift or the biggest bumper. I just want a more aggressive stance and look to the truck. (without giving up to much capability or control in say the snow)

I like some of the more subdued ADD designs bumpers with the nicely placed rigid lights.

Anyhoo, I know there are like a million threads on here about tires, lifts and the like but I get a little lost on what will work for me. The trucks an everyday driver so it has no need to go crazy so I figured I would look for some suggestions!

Thanks for the help in advance!

I have the same setup, so far I've done a heartthrob exhaust, airaid intake, an afe throttle body spacer, a 5 star tune, a truxedo truxport bed cover, and a wheelskin.
I wanted to put raptor wheels on my stock tires and put bilstein 5100's on but I'm undecided about them right now. I'm going to put the raptor grille lights on this week hopefully and I also will be putting my "3.5L twin turbo" stickers on the hood.

I am in a similar situation as you, McLov1n. I am looking for some tasteful mods, but nothing crazy. I have found myself coming back to the KMC XD Spy Wheels in the Chrome finish, either 17" or 20", wrapped in BFG ATs. I saw a pic of a user's truck in here with these wheels, and they look awesome! As far as any performance mods, I don't have any, yet. I have heard nothing but good things about getting a FiveStar tune, and I personally like the sound of the AFE 4" catback exhaust, as well as the AFE Stage 2 Intake. I will try to find the pic of the truck with the wheels and post back here with the link. I will also look for some suggestions for some exterior lighting options.

Look at ecoscrew's truck, first picture with the chrome xd spies. I think these are the best looking wheels I have seen on a 09-up F-150.

Good luck!
