2012 XLT Digital cluster to a 2010 fx4
I know this isn't plug and play so I want to know what parts would I need to proceed with the conversion. Or if there is a thread covering my question if someone can post it I'd appreciate it thanks.

2011 is when they swapped everything to the digital side of things.. I believe it would require all new computers in the firewall .. etc? If you can find info on how to do it I'd be very very interested... However I don't think anyone would spend the time nor money to do something like that.
I know people put aftermarket radios in there trucks that will read a lot of the trucks information through a GUI (digital interface). Such as tire pressure, Door ajar, Average MPG, etc... From what I've seen radios like that are usually running people a good $,1500-$2,000+. However you are getting the new look/feel that you would be getting in some of the newer trucks.

It is plug and play BUT you need new buttons for left side of steering wheel and either find one that has your same mileage and build or buy new and have them use IDS to add your mileage and build. By build the display needs to know if you have TBC or other accessories!

If I recall there have been many that have done write ups on here doing the switch.
Edit, I stand corrected, it looks like it's only doable on 2011 and up.
