2012 Transmission going or sludge?
I have read in depth about the intercooler sludge. This could possibly be that?
2012 3.5 ecoboost SuperCrew.
Went to merge the other day from 60mph floored it and transmission slammed hard! Had done it a few times but can't make it do it every time. When slowing down truck downshifts normally from 3rd or 4th. If I don't completely come to stop and then give it gas it slams sometimes as well. Sometimes I will give it has and it won't instantly go and then tranny grabs and goes. Haven't heard any weird grinding noiseless or anything like that.
Then The other day went to merge again and had it flooredd and it would hardly go anywhere felt like I had a manual transmission and went from 2nd to 6th gear. Is this the sludge problem or my tranny?

Reset your trans learn by removing the battery cables and touching them together. See if that cures it. Sounds more like a trans issue than the intercooler buildup.

Try this. with the EB don't "floor it" just roll on the gas and let the power build the EB will respond and the trans will retrain to your new driving habit.

My truck has 63500 and it started shifting unusual. Had my mechanic put the truck on the lift and it was on the lower side of oil. Had him drop the pan, change the filter and add ~7 quarts.
Much better.
There are no leaks so what happened to the oil... unknown.
I don't think I will ever buy that the tranny is set for 150K miles.

Its easy to check at home.
Grab your creeper and on the passenger side of the tranny there is a 3 inch tall lug nut looking bolt. 19mm
under that there is a small plastic dip stick.
Mine has two sets of crosshatches A and B. A is below B and I believe A is cold.
My truck was under A.
