Default 2012 Tailgate "clicking" sound???

I did some searching here first and couldn't find anything about the known tailgate clicking sound my tailgate makes when it closes. The "clicking" sound is LOUD!!!! From online searches, the hidge rod breaks, a dealer known problem and is warranty-able. I have an appointment today, see what they say. Anybody else? FYI, my 12 Lariat screw has 34K miles, 34 months old.

Yup, you need a new torsion rod in the tailgate.

Please keep us posted, Yel911; I'll be here to research any additional options, if necessary.

Hey Yel911,

I'm glad you were able to get this corrected. Please let me know if you have future questions or concerns; I'm just a PM away.
