Default 2012 issues - motor and electrical

Hey guys

New to the forum! Glad to find you guys!

I have two current issues with my 2012 XL 4WD 5.0, 208,000 miles

one: betwee 900-1600rpm, my engine makes a rattling sound. not sure what it is exactly. I call different dealers and they wont tell me but they all know what it is. They keep saying to just bring it in to they can "properly" diagnose it. Which is BS, i heard its common on this motor. Just want to know what the issue is so i can fix it myself.

second (newest issue): i replaced my rear tail light bulbs as my blinkers were going crazy. When i pulled the bottom passenger side out, i noticed the connecting part of the bulb looked like it was overloaded and the plastic was a bit burnt up. after putting two new bulbs in. The tail lights work, but the blinkers wont. Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

There are so many possible rattles, including some that aren't technically rattles, it could be anything from a lose heat shield to a bearing. We *may* be able to suggest a cause if you can record and post the sound here.

You can get replacement pigtails as far as i can tell, i've replaced a socket on the license plate bulbs that looked the same.
