Default 2012 front shock leaking

So my 2012 front left wheel is bouncing, making for a rough ride. I looked underneath and the front left shock is leaking, all greasy looking at the bottom of the shock. The truck has 42K miles, out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty.

First, is the front a strut or a shock? My Premium Care ESP apparently covers Macpherson struts but not shocks? If it's not covered under the ESP, I might as well upgrade to Bilsteins, however, I don't want any additional lift in the front since I tow an 8000# trailer, and I don't want to throw off the rake. Is the 5100 the right choice then?

yes, just set them at 0, the bottom mark. if it were me i would set it at .75, the third from the top or second from the bottom. it will still give you a rake, but i think it will be a little stiffer and handle better.
