Default 2012 f150 Changing Configurable Settings ?

Hi Im trying to change my settings through dash/steering wheel the settings like power running boards for example. It is set to "Auto" I then select "Off" or "Out" the selection changes then if I go out of that setting and back into it it resets itself to "Auto" or is there something i'm doing wrong. In the freezing temperatures I dont want them moving but it keeps reseting itself to Auto? Simple, Advice would help thanks.

Try going to Settings, Vehicle, Menu Control and select "Memory On". Should help remember changed settings beyond that current key cycle.

That only changes how you scroll through the different screens. Like you can go directly to Trip A from the Instant MPG screen or to Off road, Trans temp, etc. It does not impact settings staying or not staying how you set them.

I made this video a while ago showing this change

Specifically for the running boards. When you set them to out, they stay out to let you clean them. They will reset to auto as soon as you get above 5 MPH. Off should let them remain in.
