It's $8.50, shipped. Get creative and it'll sit just as tight as any $100 Pop-and-Lock unit and you won't have to fuss with building a bracket. I only have pics of my first attempts but I used extra bolts as spacers so I didn't have to try and fabricate a Z shaped bracket or anything. I used stronger bolts but the same basic idea for the other two units I performed. They sit solid and have never shown a single hint at having a problem. Here's what that looks like (which also works with the man-step, if you're curious):

How did you know what length to make lock rod and did you have to drill a hole for it?
