Default 2012 Door Panel Armrest extension

I have always owned vehicles with manual transmissions so I'm used to driving with my left hand, but my new Lariat, the arm rest on the door panel is so far away and low, that I can either use it as an armest, or put my hand on the wheel, there is no comfortable way to put my elbow on the armrest and grip the wheel. does anyone else have this problem? I'm not a small guy either (6' 230 lbs) and forget about putting my arm on the window, its like a mile away. I wish they would have put the seat closer to the door... it would give me more space between certain nagging passengers lol.

I just downsized from a 2010 F250 and the arm rest and center console were perfect for supporting your arms while you were driving. The only complaint I have with the interior of my 2013 is the same as yours. I can't find a comfortable spot to put my arms while driving. I only have 255 miles on my truck (as it sits in the shop now) but the one long trip home from the dealer resulted in me moving around a lot trying to find my spot in this truck.

The wife and I were just talking yesterday about coming up with an idea to make some sort of arm rest built like the cheap cup holders you hang on the door. Something you can hang from the door that you can set your arm on while driving. I wish the door arm rest on the F150 was as high as the F250 it would be perfect.

I am a big person, and just drove 2 11.5 trips to FL. And back and between the center armrest and the one on the door I was very comfortable, I never really get tired driving this vehicle, it's a pleasure to drive. Hope you will find your comfort zone.
