Hi guys I'm just about to buy an F150 Lariat, I need it because we bought a piece of land on by a lake near our home, and we need to carry materials and other things. My family is composed by 5 girls so I needed a 6 seater I sold my jeep last saturday so I need ir fast. There is a 2012 and a 2013, 1600 dolars difference in price, 2012 has 43750, 2013 56250, 2013 has a hard cover on the pick up and a bycicle carrier (not much of use for me I think), 2013 has no tonneau, but the 4x4 controller has 4A I think is full time 4x4, 2012 don't, paint is better on the 2012, both engines sound the same, so what year would you choose?

I thought the lariat has captain chairs up front, making it a 5 passenger vehicle, not 6.

Does the 2013 have HID headlights? I like those on my truck.

I assume you meant that the 2012 has a hard cover...

Since the engines "sound the same", I assume they have the same engine. 5.0 or ecoboost?

Do either have maintenance records?

 

Yes 2012 has an aluminum roller tonneau, all Lariat in Chile has the 5.0 only and the 6 passengers, no Hid in neither, both has dealer maintenance until the warranty was over. The seller of the 2012 it is a guy who is unemployed, the 2013 is on a car seller company.

 

I would get the 2012 because it has 12.5k miles lower. if you are driving it as your daily driver, the miles is important. Both 2012 and 2013 are designed the same, so it's no difference, only the number of miles while both are Lariat.
