Yes... but...
After looking over everything I could see and a very nice convo with customer support from SUNROOF DR. it appeared that one of the tracks was not lining up like the other one. So took it all apart again had to go buy rivits, and sure enough the rocker piece had popped out of the groves. Put it all back togeather and now it works great!!!
A bit of advice from the video. I have a 2011 lariat. I did not pull the passenger seat or subwoofer out. But I did have two people for dropping the track. Take extra care when sliding in the new parts and try it repeatedly!! If you pull and push on the spring cable it should be pretty smooth. It takes a little flexibility but when putting it back together before you put the headliner back up install the glass and plug the two back wire harnesses in and plug the front box in and TRY IT!!! Other then that I think my buddy and I could have this fix done in a little over an hour now that we have done it. You will break the dry cleaner screw covers off so if that's important to you I am sure you can buy new ones pretty cheap and have them ready to replace.

Got mine fixed today. I have no idea how you got the track assembly out without removing the passenger seat. I couldn't for the life of me get it out and decided to just remove the seat.
Other than that, not a terrible repair. Took me 3.5 hours by myself to get it done.

I've had multiple issues with my moonroof. The only people who will even look at it is the local Ford dealership. They want $2200+ to fix it. Many people are complaining about the moonroofs, and now we're trying to gather support for a class action lawsuit.

Had mine break on a 2013 with ~40,000 miles on it and I am pretty sure Ford wanted 2K to fix it. I had an extended warranty which I never buy but luckily they covered it after some back and forth.
The parts are cheap plastic and are known to break. I have decided to never use my sunroof again. It will break again b/c the parts replaced are the same junk. Absolutely sucks. I will never buy a truck with a sunroof again.
I have never heard that it need to be used frequently. I didn't use mine very much since I live in Houston Texas and nice days are few and far between.

Ditto for me - just had mine fixed under the PremiumCare ESP (I too never typically buy an extended warranty, and I've had issues in the past with items not being covered, but this time I was on the winning side...Dealer charge would have been well over $2k, they didn't rebuild it, just replaced the entire frame assembly).
I had checked into the Sunroof Doctor kit and there is a really good video showing how to install the kit for the 2009-20014 models. I think its more time-consuming that difficult.

I tried to do it myself as well. Only I literally did it myself. Talk about challenging and frustrating. 10 hours later I got it back in and reconnected, it opened, but wouldn’t close. I’m suppose to take it to the dealer tomorrow to have it looked at, but I’m not paying $1000 for a sunroof I barely use!! Someone I talked to thought maybe it needed to be reset. That the sunroof may have opened too far and needs to be reset in order to adjust the stopping point. Has anyone else heard that?
