Default 2011 Sony/Nav Sync Issue ?

I use a USB thumb drive with all my music on it as my music library with Sync. I did this in my '10 Escape I traded in, and Sync would navigate the USB drive no problems.

However with the new truck and the same thumb drive, when I issue a command like "Play Artist Eagles", it comes back and says "Voice command not compatible with this device".

Funny thing is, I'm almost positive that I used it the day I got the truck without any issues at all.

Any idea's ?

I've found it helpful to first use the voice command "USB", then issue voice commands like "Play Playlist xxxx".

Was having the same problems with my '11 USB. Wiped and then reformatted Fat32; it already was Fat32. Then reloaded music, 30 gb worth. All USB problems gone. Sync itself still acts up now and then.

I was having issues with my USB as well and after getting a bit of advice here, switched it out for one of better quality. Problems solved. You may want to just try another stick.

May have a corrupted directory or something. I'll give that a try!
