2011 SCrew Platinum 4X4 or 2013 XLT SCrew 4X4
#23
The '11 Platinum adds leather, memory driver's seat, power passenger seat, the heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, AC vents in the back, floor shifter, 110v AC outlet, remote start, rain sensing wipers, dual zone automatic climate control, Sony audio w/6CD, powerfold mirrors, power running boards, 20" wheels, ambient lighting, integrated garage door opener, and a bunch of interior/exterior trim stuff.
2013 vs 2011 there haven't been too many changes to the base platform - the 4A mode won't be on an XLT, but the 2013 XLT would be flat towable, the '11 won't if that matters at all.

It's a tough decision, that's for sure.
Don't forget that with a brand new vehicle you'll more likely get a better APR. (depending on your credit score) Have them run the final numbers on both trucks so you'll know how much each would cost you at the end of the loan (unless you're paying cash) I kind of wish I had the dealer present me the numbers on a brand new XLT when I bought my used one.
For what it's worth, I couldn't be happier with my used XLT, so I'm sure the Platninum would be that much sweeter.
99% of the time the "internet price" on a used vehicle isn't negotiable btw.
Good luck, you'll love either truck you pick

Told the guy I'd offer $33k. He tells me that I need to come down to the dealer so he can ask the manager. What a crock. why can't they say yes or no over the phone? It would save so much time.

Because when you're down at the dealer they can pressure you in person. They have all the control when you're in their "town".
