Default 2011 - Replace Sony Sub with Kicker Soungate Substage System??

Hi Everyone, I just picked up my 2011 F150 Lariat Limited over the weekend. The truck has the Sony System in it, but the previous owner had pulled the sony sub out and installed 2 10" JL subs under the back seat. The JLs weren't part of the sale, and he didn't have the Sony Sub anymore. The truck still has all of the wiring in it for aftermarket subs along with a bass control **** wired back to where the amp would sit. Where the old factory sony sub sat, there are only two wires coming out of the floor, a red and black with plug connectors on the end of each wire (it seems to me like these should have some type of bigger plug with each wires in the same plug and maybe more wires than just two).

To make a long story short, I am trying to decide which route to take with new sub(s). I have been looking into the kicker soundgate system for the factory look, but I can't find whether it can directly replace the stock sony or how it wires in to know if it will work with my black and red wires? Or if I should go with an aftermarket system with a custom box under the floor. I want the best bang for my buck, I don't want the truck to be crazy loud as I listen to mostly country, but I like to crank it up every once in a while. I feel like I would be better off with an aftermarket system since all of the wires are there to wire up the amp...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you want!!!

If you want stock/lack of good quility bass, go with the stock 8" sony sub!

If youd like Improved bass you can feel in the seat but not wake the neighbors, get the 10" 200w Kicker upgrade!

If you want bass that can be adjusted so everyone in and out of your truck can feel it, go custom!

Hope this helps...

Well worth the upgrade. I'm running the kicker sub and speakers in my 13 fx and love them.
