Default 2011 Puddle lamp add on

I ordered some led puddle lamps because my mirrors had the cut outs. After popping them off there was no wires so i had to find them. i could not find anything on here that showed what wires to use in the door, everything said to run wires into the cab i a refused :-) After taking the door panel off and looking at the mirror plug I determined the Purple wire is + and the black with purple wire is -Open the mirror case up and feed some 22ga wire through the tube that feeds wire to the plug and just tap in to those wires and your all set.

This took about 45 minutes total.

Not being a big fan of wire taps i went this route instead.

Pull out the small rubber blanks in the factory connector block on the mirror side (on my 2014 pin 8 was ground and pin 11 was the puddle lamp feed), crimp the pins onto the wires from the puddle lamps and push them into factory connector block. There's a little tab on the pin that locks it into place in the factory connector.

I used these for puddle lamps. Had them in for 12 months and no problems. They are way brighter than stock Ford lamps.
