2011 Platinum Loose Buttons on center stack
Hey guys, so I recently picked up a 2011 Platinum with 90k on it (from Canada as it would turn out), and I'm slowly making my way through the thing trying to find all the stuff it needs so I can fix it. For the most part, everything works, minus the rain sensor (which is MIA), the keypad (it's touchy) and the rear camera (only half the features work).
That said, there are a couple of loose buttons on the center stack for sync. The drivers side temp toggle, and the radio button are both loose. Has anyone popped these off without breaking them before? It still works, or I'd have yanked it already, but as it is I don't want to risk making it worse. Curious if I need to get a whole new electronics stack from another Gen1 sync ford, or if I could just pop a few buttons off. And if anyone had a better place to source that stuff than ebay or the Junkyard.
Semi related, I noticed tonight also that occasionally volume down on the steering wheel actually turns the volume up, and volume up occasionally changes the radio station. lol.

Replace the steering wheel buttons, that's a sign they are shot. By all reports, it's pretty easy.
The center buttons in 2013 are all one piece behind the panel (kinda like a TV remote control, if you've seen the inside of that), not sure it's that easy to replace just one at a time. I think yours is similar, but not sure.
What features are there in the camera? Mine doesn't really have much. There's a selectable menu item, and it can zoom for a closer look at the hitch. That's it.

Camera has the zoom, guide lines on/off, visual park aid, etc. The camera itself gives an image, but that's it. It's throwing a dtc for the camera, so it's probably bad. I already checked the harness.
Anywhere sell new wheel buttons, or is that another junkyard hunt?

For the camera? I didn't think to look there, I was just going to get one from Ford. I guess I'll see how much they ask for it, emailed my buddy this morning for the cost on that along with a few other odds and ends it needs.
No, it's the steering wheel buttons that are cheap. Cameras are expensive for 2013, $300+. Not sure if yours is any different. But yeah, shop a few places for anything you are looking at.
Oh ok, yeah I was gonna say the camera didn't look that cheap when I last googled it. I'm sure the camera on mine is probably the same as 2013, or similar enough so as not to make a difference with price. Good to know on the wheel buttons though, I'll check that out.
