Are the centers fomoco centers, and are the wheels limited wheels ? If you have any doubt about either I can take dimensions from mine to compare. Mine are off the truck for the winter and will be easy to measure

I just seen. You mentioned they are replicas. I can compare dimensions with oem, if you like?

I just bought the only lug nut at the dealer by me. The seat of the ford lug nut is about 1/16-1-8" longer which is about what I need for the cap to snap in. I guess I'm paying double for lugs. Gonna order 24 from the dealer

Cool. That's exactly what I was going to measure. Was going to give you a measurement of the nut acorn seated on the wheel . Measure the distance of the seated acorn to the wheel face. I suspected this could be the problem

I am having the exact same problem. Bought a used 2008 Expedition Limited EL and they have the Harley replica rims on them. Previous owner rigged it using washers so I have been trying to correct so it is right. I bought the OEM equivalent Harley Davidson lugs (Dorman Part# 611-290 / Ford OEM Part# 6L3Z-1120-BA) and they logs are still not long enough. There must be a replica cap that goes with these rims or special custom lug nuts. Have tried everywhere seems like but have had zero luck. I may just stick them on with silicone for now as I am at my wits end. I can't determine who even made the rims. No name on the back only some numbers and Made In China.

Default Lug Photo

Trying to upload photo of lug. One one the left is the Dorman (much cheaper than dealer with same dimensions). One on the right is the orignal lugs that ere on the vehicle. Hope it helps and would love to hear some resolutions.

Default Rim Photo

One more.... Here is a photo I took last night of the actual rim I am having difficulty with. Bottom line is OEM Harley Davidson caps and OEM Harley lug nuts do not work with the replica rim. Must have specific lugs or cap that goes with the replica rim. Back of rim shows PRI 503-2290 and size 22x9 but no manufacturer name.

It's not the rim, it's the aftermarket lugs. I also had the dorman ones and the lip that holds the cap is about 1/16" lower that the ford ones and that's all it takes to get the cap to snap onto the lugs. I've ordered 24 new ford lugs and the shop that sold me the dorman is willing to accept them because they don't actually work as a replacement to the dealer one.

Default Dorman vs. Ford Lugs

moerod is 100% correct. Be warned as I learned the hard way. Dorman claims that their 611-290 lugs are an equivalent to the Ford 6L3Z-1120-BA for Harley Davidson rims but that is FALSE and probably the same for the Limited version rims as well! These lugs are not the same and they should quit claiming that they are. Guess I am going to cough up the approx $350+ for a set of 20 from Ford. See photo shorter lug is the Dorman and the taller one is the Ford OEM.

I just went through all of this myself. I was lucky because a forum member here and on another site warned about the Dorman lugs and that you had to use the Ford lugs. For the best price on those lugs, try one of the Forum vendors like Ford Super Center, http://www.fordsupercenter.com/index.php, they had the best price. Tasca is another Forum Vendor that has good pricing. DON'T PAY LIST PRICE!!! You can get them for $12.00 to $12.14 each. Still painful, but you have to use them or the center caps won't work period.

I just installed my 22" Harley Rims (actual OEM rims) about 2 weeks ago. BTW - you can use the Ford Locking Lugs on each wheel and the center cap will still stay on. The center caps in these pictures are some cheap EBay ones that I picked up for $14 each. I actually have the Limited ones that are in the first picture of this thread and because they have the pearl white inner ring, I'm trying to get a black overlay to cover and match my Tux Black truck.
Also as mentioned here already, once you have the Ford lugs on, you have to forcefully hit a bottom corner with your fist, then hit the opposite side to get them to mount on the lugs. I have to omit that my fist/hand really stared to hurt by the last center cap.

Here are some pics of mine mounted, good luck!
