Default 2011 FX4 running boad issue

So was out 4 wheeling in the truck and when I got home found the running boards looking like this. The first picture is how they should look and on the drivers side it does but the passenger side in the second pic, is where the issue is. Has anyone else seen this happen to their running boards and is there a way to fix it? I took of the passenger side board and could find a way to fix it. Looks like the pad areas are loose.

Thanks

No one else has seen or had this issue??? I'm sure it's from something I did, I just don't know how to fix it. Seems like the tread pieces just need to be pushed back up but they won't stay

I have the same running boards and have not seen this happen. I'll keep a close eye on mine.

Anyone else see this happening to theirs?

I'm planning on getting a 2012 F150 and have been running through the builder program. I thought that style of running board looked less sturdy than the chrome nerf bar type. You could just remove those and replace with Westin nerf running boards. I plan to go aftermarket on a few items like that so I don't have their cost included in my financing.

Yea I'm thinking about that, but would like to see if they could be fixed. I took them off completely but can't see a way to prop up the treads to make them stay. Not sure if they are glued in place or what.

Is it possible that the treads are where they should be and the surrounding piece has come loose or up?
