Default 2011 FX4--New Tires

Ok, I have stock 275/65/18 and want to go to 275/70/18. I already have a leveling kit installed. The dealer and a few tire shops are telling me it can't/shouldn't be done because it will affect numerous things. I know it will change the speedo and odometer a little but they are telling me it will change the "transmission shift points" and that they aren't able to reflash the computer on the 2011's. I think it's all BS. I can't see how roughly 1" more of rubber will affect anything. Thoughts

Thanks

If my '12 was leveled I'd get 285/75-18's - fit and work well on our trucks and are 2" taller than the 275/70's.

The 275/70's are no issue at all really. A bit heavier and stiffer because most are load range E.

So they cost more, ride harshly, use more fuel, make more noise, increase stopping distances, slow acceleration and look awesome.

I have 275/70/18's and it didn't really effect anything except performance. My speedo is right on with a GPS too

I have a 2013 FX4 with a 5.0 and leveling kit. I put 295 70 18's on mine. Dealer installed tires and adjusted speedo for me.
