Default 2011 ford f150

I have a 2011 Ford F-150 with the 5.0, it has 83,000 miles on it. The antifreeze tank was empty the other day and I filled it back up, when the heat is on I can smell it a little. The windshield keeps a haze on it. I don't see any leaks, can someone help me out.. Thanks in advance

bypass the heater core see if leak and smell go's away & if so install a new core or buy a warm coat

Open your hood and look at the top passenger side of the engine. You'll see two hoses going directly into the firewall near the top, each is about an inch thick. Those are your heater hoses, one is supply and the other is a return. The heater core is inside the dash, roughly where those hoses enter the firewall. You'd have to remove, or at least partially dismantle the dash to get to the heater core, it's a lot of labor. The heater core should be in a small enclosure, looks sort of like a little radiator. You may be able to get to it by removing the glovebox and anything behind it....maybe. Keep in mind that the passenger side airbag in in that area!

To bypass the heater core temporarily, you'd have to cut/disconnect those two hoses in the engine compartment, and just connect them together with a fitting, to form a "loop".
