Default 2011+ ford accessory remote start problem

So I added the ford accessory remote start (one with the start button on the key fob, not the extra fob kit). Worked great for a month and a half and in the past week or two stopped working???? Lock, unlock, panic all work fine, but get nothing out of the start button. What can I do? My dealer was extremely uneducated on this kit so looking for any other options...

Try another dealer. Could also try a new battery in the fob.

Check the hood switch. It's on the under the hood on the drivers about half way toward the front. They had to add one with the kit and if they half-arsed it maybe it came loose.

I had issues with mine recently, would flash and honk the horn but no start. Went out to my truck to find out that the battery was shot, had to get my buddy to boost it and take it to ford where they tested and replaced it under warranty. Was told that the battery was fine just needed a charge. I was curious about why it just started doing this, they went straight to my job where in out of town 10 days at a time with company truck so they said that was the reason it died. Kept talking to them and brought up that I've had this truck for a year and a half and the job for same time period and only recently any issue with the battery. That's my story sorry for rambling in this morning lol

Do you have a second key with the remote start feature ? Try that one to see if things work --- if so then change the battery in the key.

I had checked both fobs, hood switch was good, batteries, A-Okay........lesson to anyone who has sudden problems with their remote start for no apparent reason, MAKE SURE NOBODY HAS GOTTEN IN AND PLAYED WITH YOUR SETTINGS BEFORE YOU FREAK OUT!!! Lol someone had set the duration to off and failed to mention it to me.....I know exactly where on of my old key fobs is going!!!!
