Default 2011 Electronic Gremlins

To start with I have a 2011 F150XLT regular cab, short bed 4X4 with the 5.0 engine which I've had just shy of 2 years. To date I've had very few problems with the truck.

Saturday when I started the truck I noticed my radio stations were all screwed up. No big deal, thought maybe I hit something by accident. Then I noticed on my dash display there were indication numbers that showed the gear the transmission was in. I always have it set to the last 5 min. of gas mileage and the transmission gear indicator was never there before.

Then I realized something was going on, radio stations screwed up, new indicator on my dash screen and then while driving my whole dash lights flashed off for just a split second.

No problems since, the transmission indicator is still working.

Anybody have any similar problems?

Dealer said problems caused by a defective battery. We'll see. Funny, the battery in my 99 F-150 lasted over 11 years. The battery in my 11 F-150 was replaced before two years.

Batteries do create havoc with all these new electronics when they're going bad.
Good Luck - hope that was it !
