2011 eco and accelerator prob
I think you may have been pushing both pedals at the same time. This has happened to me several times over the years not with this truck but with other trucks. Scares the crap out of you. Harder you push the brake faster it wants to go. Hope everything works out and if there is a problem they get it fixed for you.

Not possible the way that truck was accelerating. It wasn't a little bit of acceleration...it was wide open!

Car and Driver did a road test (middle of last year??) on several cars -- up to and including the mighty 540 HP Roush Stage III Mustang. I'll see if I can find the article or the videos of that......found it:
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...d-acceleration
They went full throttle on each of them, and full brake at the same time from 70 and 100 mph.
Each of them were able to stop every time, although the Mustang took longer when rolling it too was able to overcome the brakes even when at highway speeds -- with the throttle FULLY applied.
From even a rolling start, to have the truck overcome the brakes is a physical impossibility.
I am glad you are OK and that no one else was hurt.....were you wearing work boots?

Glad you're OK, that's the most important part...
The F-150's are supposed to have a break over accelerator feature to prevent something like this happening -- wondering if that came into play at all here? Though I recall reading somewhere that this system doesn't activate at speeds under 10MPH, assuming you were pulling in slowly to your driveway, maybe it truly never activated...

This incident has gone to the legal dept with Ford. My current dilemma is that I'm without a truck. The dealership gave me a loaner car since last Friday but today they needed it back and told me I would have to rent a car at my own expense. I just wasn't in the mood today to get in an argument with them so I rented a car. What's you guys's take on this? The last two vehicles I have gotten was thru this dealership. I'm not sure how long this is going to drag on for...I have to wait for some docs to be mailed to me that I need to fill out and return. At that point an engineer will come inspect the vehicle... at least that's what I understand from what the service manager said. I understand why ford won't help me due legal complications but dealership isn't liable here. Just curious what you guys's onion is???
As far as the truck...it didn't throw any codes that the dealership could find. Luckily the event recorder woke up so I have the info up to the impact. The impact was at 14mph and caused a 12mph change in velocity...which was the traumatic event that initiated the event recording. If any of you are wondering the event recorder records data 5 secs prior to the traumatic event. Nothing is recorded post the event. I obtained the info in the black box thru the State Patrol, a certified trooper did the download. I have no idea how long this going to drag on for but I just my property damage fixed and a truck!
Thanks Again for any info or suggestions guys

If it in fact was not driver error and I'm not accusing you that is but as another poster said I've heard stories of people with work boots on etc actually pressing both petals in panic like situations. This far more serious then any EB limp mode in my opinion and it appears that it has happened to at least two people in this thread alone....Not good.
Not that it matters I'm curious what engine is in your truck? It sounds like some sort of electronic related thing but still.

Not full out disputing this since anything could happen with all this new electronic stuff but, cars have been driving into walls since they were invented. Long before computerized throttles.
I doubt there were very many that admitted to panicking and hitting the wrong pedal.
Best of luck with this and I hope you prove some of us wrong.
