Default 2011 backup lights

I added 2 small (55w) backup lights to my 2011. I wired them into the existing backups but disconnected the factory bulbs. They worked for a few weeks but then just quit. Checked the fuse and relay and they are ok. The light on the rear top of the cab works...same circuit. There is no power to the lights, including factory backups. Stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

The existing wire was not meant for 55W bulbs. You have burned the wire You can wire the 55w bulbs into your trailer tow harness if you have one.
