Default 2011 auto transmission question

on the 4.2 inch lcd screen i have it set up so you can see what gear youre in. when i start to brake i see it go down from 6-5-4-3-1 when slowing down to a complete stop from 3rd gear it skips over 2 and goes straight into 1st gear at a complete stop....is this normal? or should it go into 2nd and then into 1st rather skipping 2nd gear? thanks a lot

My truck does the exact same thing. Seems to be normal. I try to come to a complete stop and let it shift to first before I step on the gas. Otherwise when I used to roll through a stop sign it seemed to do the 3rd to 1st shift the same time I would hit the gas. Resulting in a not so smooth shift.

Yep, it's normal. I think that the shift from 3rd to 2nd was too "rough" and removed to make things smoother.

Normal.
I'm pretty sure it does go into second when in tow/haul though.

Sweet thanks guys, I know what you mean by not coming to a complete stop it feels like the drive shaft doesn't have enough time to slow down or speed back up

It's normal. Check out the threads complaining about it. It's so rough sometimes it feels like you are getting rear-ended.
Apparently a tune, such as 5 Star, will fix it.
