It never did it before, just started doing it in this frigid weather here (15 degrees). I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow and have them check it. I will not pay for a custom tune when the truck is under warranty.

I wish you all the luck in the world, just don't hold your breath waiting for Ford to fix it!
Others before you have been down this path and have ultimately gone to a tune to fix what Ford won't! The question that you have to ask yourself is, do you want it fixed, or do you want to *****foot around a largely worthless warranty?
Let us know how you make out?

I'll see what the Ford dealer has to say. If that doesn't fix it what tuner do you guys use? SCT? I know Banks makes on my Cummins and liked it.

My truck: 2012 F1504x4 Crew Cab, EcoBoost. 19500 miles, always serviced at the Ford dealer. Does not have the upgraded intercooler.

Never had an issue until now:

While driving about 55-60 mph, using the cruise control my truck shutters while going uphill. The cruise control maintains the speed and the truck does not shift down, the transmission stays in 6TH gear. No check engine light comes on and the shutter does not happen if I accelerate goibg uphill. I have to say that it is really cold here right now.

Any ideas? Haven't been to the dealer yet and just wanted to know if anybody else had this problem.

Thanks!
Shuttering.... aka misfiring... likely plug gap issues. Easily fixed and doesn't take a dealer to do so.

Maybe so, however, the truck is under warranty and has less then 20K on it......no need for me to mess with it.

SCT is the most versatile and most used on this platform. Hit Franchitti (mod on here) up if you get to that point !

I was going to suggest this also, but with under 20,000 miles I would have my doubts about this? Besides the fact that Ford considers this a "wear" item and generally will not cover it under warranty! But I would still ask for it?
My only other thought would perhaps be some moisture in the fuel?

Let me know what the verdict is from your dealership, 71_340. If you need me to step in and assist, just shoot a PM my way.

Well Crystal, you could start with a few thousand sets of spark plugs gapped properly! that would be a tremendous amount of goodwill and at least step in the right direction that Ford is genuinely concerned with these issues instead of offering the obligatory lip service?

Unless you have a tech that uses common sense, they won't check the plugs. Remember these techs go off of diagrams and computers that tell them what to fix and check.
