I know the feeling.

What I haven't seen on the boards is any final outcome of getting a new motor. It seems the list of adjustments clear it away.

Unless there's too much internal damage in the process... At that point it doesn't matter what you change unless you change the engine itself

Wish i saw this thread and all the other information about this eco boost power loss before i sunk 7k in mods on my new to me 2013 F150xlt. I experienced this the first time since ive owned it (sep 2013) at about 8,200 miles. Raining out and on the highway, the "broken record" story for me was gunned it to pass slower moving traffic, sputtered and check engine light flashed. Now, happened again later that day, in the rain, accelerated onto highway. This time the engine light has stayed on. Really dissapointed.

Right, but not a word about a new motor in any of my reading over the months.

In any case, drilled the whole today and went ahead with the BOV mod I purchased months ago since I was in truck mode today. Went cruising and couldn't duplicate, but it is very dry and breezy today.

Hi folks,

As a reminder, I'm here to do what I can to help. If you're still experiencing a shudder following your trip to the dealership, send me a PM with your information so I can look into this further. I'll need your name, daytime phone number, mileage, VIN, and dealership info to get started.

Thanks!

Crystal

Is it true that you can check via the VIN if my F150 has had the "update" work already done? since no one seems to call it a "re-call". Thats what a sales rep told me over the phone from the dealer.

Hi Apewrench,

I do not have access to service records. I recommend getting in touch with the service manager at your dealership; they'll be in the best position to assist.

I have a 2011 FX4 5.0 40K mi. which shudders or misfires from 55-60 more often on slight incline or under light acceleration. It has been to the dealership twice in 3 weeks for this issure. My dealer flashed to the newest programming and also cleared mode 6 and it still does it. I am still working with them on the issue but feel as if i am just being told to deal with it. Has anyone else had success changing the plugs? I am quickly running out of options. Any help would be great!

A week into doing the pinhole and doing the BOV mod, I had zero issues all week. Tried to force the stutter and just couldn't do it. I'll post up next week when it rains/snows and see if it's outside moisture related for here in DC.
