ZF Industries is now making the transmissions on the Dodge Ram so the tranny problems have been gone for a couple years. ZF is a german company and their technology is leaps and bounds above anyone else. That is why Dodge is now up to 8 speed trannies with the smaller engine.

Your argument just doesn't hold water son! If it were just a few with the problem then there wouldn't be this from my previous post..................

NOT BASHING or commending. simply making a statement.

ZF is the same company that has been making the superduty manual trans' for the better part of 10 years now(until Ford stopped offering a manny-tranny), among other applications.

No, total F150s! He's just trying to confuse the issue with some pro Ford spin. Probably an aspiring politician.

Haha. It was a rhetorical question on my end. The point I was trying to make is that I don't have a problem with the truck itself, just the engine. So to me, it's irrelevant to throw in their other engines into the discussion. I'd like to know the number of ecoboosts that have been back. 43 at the dealer I use. But they wouldn't tell me how many they've sold. That's just the number scheduled to get the new cac tsb. My guess is that isn't a small percentage...

Sounds more like a way for the Dodge/Fiat dealer to make more money off you. The dealers near me still sell a bunch of Ecoboost trucks. Personally the company I work for will never buy another Dodge for our fleet. Endless checks written for check engine light repairs. Ball joints and brakes.

They all sell a bunch of them... But go to your dealer and look at the prices on re-sale. Or try to trade yours and compare it to the price of a like mileage 5.0. I'm not a dodge fan either but this ecoboost issue is bad

First off I'm not your son.. but my bad, you posted it on the internet thus it has to be true! Too bad Toyota went out of business due to the 5.2+ million vehicles they had to recall, no one would buy any of their vehicles anymore and they couldn't trade them in because it was only a matter of time before word got out to the dealer community.

Ok, this is a FORD forum... seriously. Second, the title of thread is "2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power" but somehow now it's just EcoBoosts? Last, I was only posting sales figures to provide prospective on number of trucks on the road... Wow...

Just traded my 2011 F150 with Ecoboost. 19000 miles. Got 36300 trade and paid 37600 new. Ecoboost added 1200 to book value. Not bad for a two year old truck with 19000 miles. Guess I would have got more than paid new if it was a 5.0?
