2011 5.0 tick when letting off gas
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if my scenario is normal, or if I should take it in and have it looked at. It doesn't matter if the motor is hot or cold, but when going slowly around a parking lot, or revving it slightly in park, when coming back down on the rev range, it ticks 5-8 times, then is back to normal. It never happens when the motor is revving up, only when the revs are falling back down to idle. I would say at about 1500-1800 RPM's.

Sounds like the VCT system just doing its job. Basically like a slight "tickatickaticka"?
