This is for the 6th gear 55 MPH vibration/shudder most commonly felt accelerating uphill ONLY!!!!

The following template should be used:

Model Year = 2013
Engine = 3.7 V6
Wheelbase = Regular Cab/6.5' bed: 126"

Assembly Plant = Dearborn
Build Date = March 28, 2013


this is my THIRD F150 since 2010. EVERY ONE OF THESE TRUCKS had the 55mph vibration and "bed bounce/hop".

Michelin tires seem to make it worse. Hanook tires made it less noticeable, but it was still there.

the 2013 I have now has 17inch Michelin's, and its not as bad as the 18inch Michelin's on the 2010.

The issue just has something to do with the engineering of the truck i'm convinced. It never totally goes away no matter what tires are on it.

So I had shutter, but now this is my problem, and it seems related. I don't know where else I would post it, as it seems to be part of the overall problem. When it happens, the same result happens at the end of my trip. Motor starts to miss.

2011 3.5 Ecoboost is at it again. I've had it at ford once. The shutter was really bad, and the spark plug had shattered. I take long trips, from 3-7 hours in this truck. When it's raining, it's doing it again, but no large shutter, the truck just falls on it's face.

don't think that's the shudder/vibration the thread is talking about . . . .

there is a whole 'nother tread about the ECOBOOST shudder/limp mode.

Did anyone ever figure this out I have the same problem with my 2012 f150.I haven't read every post if someone knows how to fix this please let me know. This is the first Ford I have owned since I was in high school I have always been a GM man. I really like my truck but it has gotten to the point that my wife says it hurts her back to even ride to the store in it.

Shudder on take-off, as well as the 50-55 shudder and the box shakes as well. Very noticable at this speed.

got new tires now worse going get balanced again then to ford to raise hell.


is there a darn fix yet after 3 years????? !!!!!!!!!!

Yes - it is called a Chevy. Ford just doesn't care about this issue.
