2010 Super Crew Door Lock Wiring Issue
I have a 2010 F150 XLT Super Crew. The rear left hand driver side door automatic lock stopped working. Bear in mind I am by no stretch a mechanic!
Originally I noticed that when the door was fully ajar or fully closed, the power locks would not work on this door (operating the lock/unlock from either the driver door or remote). When the door was approximately half way open, the door locks would work fine. I assumed a pinched wire or something of that nature, but then thought it could be a faulty latch / actuator.
I then purchased a new LH Door Latch / Actuator assembly and proceeded to replace with no luck. I took apart the passenger rear door and hooked up the new and old assembly to the wiring on the RH side and tested the locks and the mechanisms move on both of my LH Door Latch assembly's. On the the problem door, no luck with either.
I also removed all the wiring from the pop rivet / tie down points so that the wiring was loose in the door. After doing this, the door locks haven't worked at all regardless of the door position.
I'm looking for some insight on my next step of troubleshooting.
I'm thinking I need to take the driver door apart and see if I can determine if the wiring for the rear door is connected to the driver side door in any way shape or form. I also understand that there are wiring hubs under the driver side dash and passenger side dash.
Does anyone know where the other end of the LH Door Latch assembly wire connects to? I have had no luck determining this through online searches. I can only find information on older model trucks, 2 door models with issues with the super cab doors and folks trying to wire up automatic tailgate locks!
Any and all help is much appreciated!

I would think the wire is broken in the loom that goes from the body (pillar between the doors) to the problem door. I don't have my truck here, but there should be a number of wires inside a bellows style housing on the side with the hinges. Trace the wires from the actuator to the loom and then down to the door sill. since the bellows and wires inside flex every time the door is opened, I would bet the strands are broken inside the bellows. The wire insulation may not be damaged, but that doesn't mean the copper strands inside are OK.

I had a problem like this with my 2010 super crew, wouldn't unlock or lock on one rear door. The wiring harness that connected to said door had pinched and broken the wires. If you open the rear door and peel back the rubber boot on the pillar (runs between the pillar and door) you can expose the wires to see if they have been compromised. The plastic rod they use to keep the wiring from bending when it closes into the door actually caused the break. The replacement harness does the same thing, I'm sure I'll have to replace mine again in the future.

This link gives some pix of what the previous folks are talking about.
It's worth looking into as it's common enough and fairly easy to fix.
