Default 2010 fx4 pulsing & vibrating ( + check engine light goodness!)

Drove about 100 feet, & noticed that the truck felt different. No idiot lights, just a slightly rough idle. At speed, things worsened. Then it seemed to get worse, and the check engine light came on solid.

Dammit.

They can get it in Tuesday.

Thoughts on what it is? It was worse under load.

Guessing a bad spark-plug (cracked/burnt) or bad wire (short/connector bad).

Good luck.

im guessing the above. bad coil pack, plug. if you want unplug each coil pack individually and plug them back in. if you notice no change after unplugging and plugging one back on thats your bad cylinder

just got the call from the dealership.

mice.

a nest of mice has taken up residence, filling the air cleaner with bread (which is now toast), and chewing through my fuel injector wiring.

so that means it's not under warranty. a little less than $200.

dammit.

oh well, at least it didn't damage anything more expensive.

I've had that happen on one of my old cars -- opened the door, saw a mouse head peeping at me before heading back to its nest in the front firewall.
