Default 2010 fx4 cluster upgrade ?

Hi can anyone can tell me if i can upgrade my instrument cluster on my fx4 2010 to the fx4 2014 with lcd display . I have the one showed in picture want to upgrade to the new one . If anyone has done it before please give some info how to procced as all i have seen in youtube have been eccobost from 2013 to 2014 not similar model to mine . Thank you !

I think it has to be from a car with the same engine, but others will confirm

While I’m not familiar with this generation (only the one before and the one after) I can say I don’t thing having the same engine has anything to do with it.

I think you would also need to upgrade to a 2011-14 BCM, at minimum. But not sure.

I’m sure I’ve seen a post about someone replacing their cluster and the truck wouldn’t start anymore. If my memory serves me correct the cluster is connected to anti-theft system… not 100% sure but it’s not a simple swap

You are trying to upgrade a GEM speedo with a BCM speedo as Spiky pointed out so unless you are going to update the whole truck it will not work as StretchOrTyler said, I read that on one of the sites I am on also that they went to a newer cluster and no start until they put the old cluster back in.
